I keep writing these journal entries, hoping to find something new to say about my life with CJ. I’m feeling quite stuck. The idea was to write about my history, to begin with, to give the reader some context. Some reason to understand why my marriage is so surprising, why our relationship is so remarkable.

I hated women, but now I don’t. Why the change? What brought it about? Pushing projections back into myself. That’s what it’s all been about. Projecting my mother onto every woman that ever existed, and hating them. But why? Because I carried around a split, within myself. |
